An intense burst of solar wind roared past Earth on November 3, 2021, resulting in a colourful G3 (strong) geomagnetic storm. The event was captured by the AuroraMAX Observatory in Yellowknife, and featured active auroras from dusk until dawn, including high energy reds and purples just before sunrise. At the peak of the event auroras were seen across Canada and as far south as California.
